Just Wondering…

I was just wondering, when do you open your gifts? You know what I mean, some like to open them on the eve of Christ’s birth or on the celebrated date of his incarnation. Which do you prefer and why? I suppose it would depend upon family tradition, simple personal preference, or the unsatisfied greed rampant in your family unit. Perhaps your little ones dictate the gift giving and getting, and therefore the rendering of the packages and when they are reduced to recycling fodder. Perhaps this would be a good time to remind everyone why we give gifts in the first place. The gift represents the greatest gift of all given freely to all mankind by the one who created us. It is our choice whether or not to open the gift he has already chosen to give us. It is no surprise. Yet why are so many so reluctant to claim their heavenly package? It costs them nothing but their own pride. And there’s the rub, we have to admit we need the gift. Makes one wonder…
