I was just wondering, is church about you or is it about God? Do you long for worship so you can be energized or do you long for worship so you can be in His presence with the members of his local body? Do you find yourself thinking church should revolve around you or your family? You know what I mean: Do they have babysitting for the kiddos, how about the youth group, or do they play the right kind of worship rock music? Perhaps you focus so much on the pastor’s pithiness that you have lost your ability to think theologically. Relevancy does not necessarily equate to reverency. Didn’t the one who made us remind us that we should come into his presence with thanksgiving and enter his courts with praise, not that we should be made to be thankful while entering with our lattes and rocking out to the worship band. Makes one wonder…
