Just Wondering…

I was just wondering what you thought about love. You know what I mean, as in “all you need is love.” But what do you mean by that? Perhaps you mean the sacrificial love of the one who died for you. Perhaps you equate love with an emotion instead and what happens when the emotion bubble is popped? Perhaps you need to realize that love is more than an emotion or feeling, it is a verb and active. Sacrificial love is patient, kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Sacrificial love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Sacrificial love never fails. So, when you say, “All you need is love,” is this what you intend or are you emoting again? Makes one wonder…
