I know this may shock some of you who know me well, but I must openly confess that when Barack Obama first made noises of running for the office of the Presidency, I was attracted to his candidacy. He seemed to be an intelligent young energetic black man that could bring about a healing and a new view for all Americans. But the more I heard him speak, and then as I began to read his own biographies about himself, my admiration and opinion of him has turned to distrust and concern. Why? Contrary to what the Obama campaign and the mainstream media would have you believe Barack Obama is mired in a quagmire of past influences and friendships with communism that just will not go away. Nor, should it be ignored. When he was a young impressionable teenager in Hawaii Obama himself writes in his two biographies that his own grandfather introduced him to the black communist poet Frank Marshall Davis that became his friend and “mentor.” (You also sadly discover that Obama’s own mother and her parents had leftist leanings and she practiced an open careless lifestyle.) “Frank,” Obama’s early mentor, made no bones about how he feels about America in his articles, the college classes he taught in Hawaii, books he wrote, and poems about how blacks should see it as well. According to the Accuracy In the Media web site: “Davis was a known communist who belonged to a party subservient to the Soviet Union. In fact, the 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What’s more, anti-communist congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), accused Davis of involvement in several communist-front organizations.”
Barack also admits that he attended as many left-leaning courses as he possibly could enroll in after heading to college. This was no accident nor an unforeseen consequence of what he had to attend in order to gain his degree. Obama deliberately sought out the professors who taught an extreme leftist black view of America. Later, after heeding advice from Davis, Barack admittedly heads to Chicago to “find” himself and there he places himself in the company of some of Chicago’s most liberal and leftist groups. Deliberately associating himself with a church and pastor that espoused black hatred and racist rage against white America and that advocated an aggressive black liberation theology under Reverend Wright. It is here at Wright’s church that he meets his wife Michelle, who also fostered her own leftist views while in college, writing her Master’s thesis on her fear of how White America was influencing Blacks.
The thesis was titled “Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community” and written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, in 1985. In it she writes that she always felt as an outsider no matter how she was treated by the faculty and fellow students. The whole purpose of the thesis was to “examine the following attitudes of alumni: the extent to which they are comfortable interacting with Black and White individuals in various activities.” In the thesis she discusses how she begins to see herself being “influenced” to succeed, just like the rest of the White college students were. (Perhaps this is why she did not feel “proud” to be an American until her husband was ahead in the polls?) She used a questionnaire with her fellow black and white students to discover how they felt their “blackness,” and I guess “whiteness,” had been influenced. (I share this with you the reader so you know what motivates the Obamas.) She discovers that blacks become more favorable to whites as they hang out together and the same held true for whites as they befriended blacks! (By the way, I did indeed read all of her thesis, even though it was extremely boring, as most are.) But herein lies the underlying attitude and current thought process of Barack Obama and Michelle: They both suffer from societal ethnic identity crisis and have tried to justify their lifestyles and inner guilt by being involved politically.
Michelle wrote that she was fearful that her going to Princeton likely would lead to her “further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant.” Meaning, perhaps, that she would not be “black” enough in the future. What could be extremely important here is that America as a whole could well become the Obama’s leftist social experiment for the next four years if he is elected. If you doubt my conjecture listen to Barack’s own words when he states that America is not the great nation it could be. One has to ask why, if you critically think at all. One must not forget that Michelle concluded that “I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don’t belong. Regardless of the circumstances under which I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second.”
Again, according to Accuracy In the Media “It was in Chicago that Obama became a ‘community organizer’ and came into contact with more far-left political forces, including the Democratic Socialists of America, which maintains close ties to European socialist groups and parties through the Socialist International (SI), and two former members of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), William Ayers and Carl Davidson.” Obama admittedly sat at Ayer’s table and formulated the plan on how he would run for political office. Who is Ayers? Ayers was the founder of the violent American terrorist group the Weathermen Underground, who bombed the Capitol, and later killed several policemen. He graduated from Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and extreme communist group that advocated a violent overthrow of America and opposed the war in Vietnam. Ayers turned himself in, but was never convicted of the bombing because of how the Government bungled the prosecution, but he now readily admits doing it and not going far enough.
Sadly, many young people today get a myopic view of how America looked and thought during the 60s and 70s from the mainstream media and Hollywood that was and is itself in love with many of these groups. The vast majority of Americans saw them for what they were: Subversive and anti-American in everything they stood for. In fact, we now know for certain, because of recently released files of the Soviet KGB, that these groups were wholeheartedly started by agents of and supported by the communist government of the Soviet Union. Barack Obama’s friend and associate William Ayers was and still is a minion of communism.
Obama’s social and political views continue to be guided by his leftist leanings. Abortion, his view of Christianity, society as a whole, racial justice, and his inner hatred of America expresses itself as he speaks about himself and what he plans are for our nation. This is not some “red” scare but a real issue of concern that people need to be well aware of. Barack and Michelle Obama’s view of America is not mainstream nor does it follow regular American ideals. I believe that if most American’s were well aware of their past friendships, mentorships, and what they truly believe about America they would be shocked and not proud of this man at all.
While I am not sure at this time how I will vote, I know for certain who I would not place my trust in as a candidate for the Presidency. I could not vote for anyone who sees America as filled with hate, oppressive, and gives a nod to ideals that are against everything America is about: Individualism, freedom, and well-grounded faith. Are you prepared to elect someone whose whole life has been influenced and molded by self-doubt and totally extreme views of America that are antithetical to what American is truly about? That is Barack Obama.
