Who Says You Should Not Argue Politics Or Religion?

Who says you should not argue politics or religion at family gatherings? I do not adhere to this nonsense. Why? Let me explain: This Christmas season has been a very enlightening one for me both as a Christian and as a political observer. I spent a lot of time listening to others spout their views of the world and what is occurring and was surprised but also convinced of people’s myopic view of the world around them.

The Cultural Christian Shift: Obama’s Social Christianity

Sadly, much of today’s modern church and its emergent followers have given Obama all he needs to succeed. It is and will be hard to quell the sated mob with reason when selfishness rules the marketplace of ideas. Feelings and emotions will replace reason and faith. It already has for many. It is easier to follow a CEO than living responsibly for the Lord. Just give the masses what they want and keep them happy for the moment. Be ready for the cultural Christian shift.

Bigoted and Hatemonger Christophobes Burn Church!

Bigoted and hatemonger Christophobes burn Sarah Palin’s church and do you hear any a condemnation from the liberal media or liberals? Does anyone seriously think that the news of Obama’s church home for over 20 years, Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ, would have gotten the same slap in the face the mainstream media has placed Sarah Palin’s church in Alaska if it was burned by arson? We would have had to endure monotonous rantings about how hateful and horrendous conservatives were for encouraging the destruction.

When the World Gets Difficult, Remember the Miracle of God! — Luke 2:1-18

The world may be difficult but you little figurine of a sheep remind me that everything is going to be alright for my flock, for my family, and for my grandchild because another little lamb came into the world.

Obama: What Did He Know, And When Did He Know It?

What did he know and when did he know it? This should be the question anyone with brains should be asking Barack Obama. Anyone with any common sense understands that someone who declared himself as a “community organizer” within the Chicago neighborhoods understands that these organizers are up to their armpits in Chicago-style neighborhood Blagojevich politics.

Do You Believe In Miracles? – Today’s Thoughts…

Do you believe in miracles? Here are the rules for telling me about a miracle that happened to you: Now least you think I do not believe in miracles happening today, I do, but I want to hear from you what ones you have seen or experienced for yourself. Miracles whereby God told you, you trusted Him, and saw it happen or come about. No child births, no nature walks, and no feelings stuff. Absolutely no Benny-Hinn-tele-evangelist claptrap either. I want to read about concrete miracles that happened to you, not someone you know that told you about it. You, personally. I think this would be a great time of year to remind ourselves of God’s wondrous miracles, don’t you? Okay, now it’s your turn to share.

A Lowly Shepherd – Today’s Thoughts…

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.

What do you think occurred when this happened so long ago? Here are my own insights…

To Santa or Not to Santa, What Are Your Thoughts…

Recently on Revelife a post was made about “Keeping Christ in Christmas and How Santa is Jesus’ Friend.” Some of the responses were rather odd to say the least. But what do you think? Should we allow Santa Claus to be a part of our Christmas tradition or not? My view is that far too often Christian hyperventilate over really silly stuff. The “truth” of Santa is one of them. Rather than out and out lying to a child in the rather odd way the author does by saying that “Santa is Jesus’ friend and helper. The story goes that Jesus is very busy commanding angels and watching over us and doing all His Jesus stuff, so He asks people to help out with His work sometimes,” why not just go with the flow of what the child understands at his maturity level? You know what, most kids learn at their own pace who Santa really is or is not. If not, you have not taught your kid to ask, who, what, when, where, and why. You know, to critically think!

God’s Natural Plan – Today’s Thoughts

Isn’t it amazing how God’s plan for creation is reborn every time a baby is conceived? I mean what was once simply not there now exists and is unique, alive, and aware. How the biology of the situation is in reality a beautiful picture of what God has planned all along. Procreation, birth, life, a baby. Simple yet miraculous.

Those With BDS (Bush Derangment Syndrome) Take Heed!

Bush put his country above his personal reputation. He said we can thank God Bush did what he did. Curry said Bush wanted to keep the information quiet because terrorists are still around Iraq. Curry went on to tell the whole story of Wilson and Plame, who pushed the line that Bush lied.
